Christmas Craft and Gift Fair

The Christmas Craft and Gift Fair was on Saturday and was a great success.  The fair wasn't as busy as I would have liked but for some strange reason Halstead was incredibly quiet that day, but never the less there was bags of enthusiasm from the crafters with a fantastic selection of crafts and gifts on offer.  The public that did attend commented on the quality of the crafts and said they had certainly enjoyed the fair and the refreshments.  We took photos throughout the event, so if you would like copies of these then please do let me know and I can forward them to you.
The next event will be our Easter craft fair in Hadleigh on Saturday 23rd March 2013, 10am - 4pm.  Our Spring event will be on Saturday 4th May at St. Peters Church in the middle of Sudbury, 10am - 4pm and following that we will have a Summer fair on Saturday 13th July in The Arts Centre in Haverhill, another busy highstreet location.  I hope to see some of you at these events!

The Christmas craft and gift fair in Halstead is tommorrow!

All the preparations are complete and we are now ready for the Christmas fair.  The Queens Hall will be full of crafters ready to show off their crafts and we really do have a wonderful selection of crafts and gift ideas for christmas.  All the mince pies are at the ready, tea will be flowing and festive tunes will be a playing to give a really christmasy feel.  Well, theres nothing more to be done....I look forward to meeting you all tommorrow.

The fair is almost full with fantastic crafters.  We have a great selection of crafters attending as you can see from the exhibitor list on the website.  We have beauty products, handmade jewellery, soaps, paintings on slate, wood carvings, potterey, smallprints and a childrens author, and thats just a few, it's very exciting and I think its going to make for a great christmas fair. 
I have had a table booked by 'Fresh Start Beauty', who produce wonderful cold processed soaps, fragranced soy candles, body cream, body scrubs, bath salts, bath bombs, lip butters, gift sets, room fragrance sprays.  All their products look very tempting and I thought I would give you a preview look at their christmas stall, it all looks fantastic.

I think I will definatley visiting this stall for some christmas gift ideas.









I am out and about over the next two weeks promoting the fair locally and slightly further afield by putting up posters and handing out flyers to the public, a very busy time!

The fair is only 3 weeks away now and it's still getting plenty of interest, we are almost full but could still squeeze a few more crafters in.  Plans are starting to be made with regards to the yummy cakes and treats that will be on sale in the cafe.

Next event

I had a very exciting day yesterday, I booked our next event, it will be in the Grand Hall in Hadleigh Guildhall.  The Guildhall is a fantastic part Medieval part Victorian building and the Grandhall in in the Victorian part.  The hall is a very impressive room with 7m ceilings.  The next fair will be on 23rd March 2013, 10am - 4pm in the Grandhall, at Hadleigh Town Hall.

I thought I would show you some images of some more crafts that are going to be availiable our our Christmas events.  They are sold by Lisa Booth, prices vary from £2 - £15. Everything is boxed and beautifully gift wrapped all free, also those who purchase any item can also receive fresh water pearl earrings set in sterling silver for only £5 otherwise they're £10.

A hectic weekend

Well, we had a very busy weekend, we took the kids off to 'the big smoke' to see the christmas lights and it was so worth it, they were magical and reminded me how close christmas really is.  The Christmas craft and gift fair on the 8th December in Halstead is still attracting bookings, I even got an extra booking while I was standing at the 'O2' watching my husband climb over it on saturday!!  I have been off today putting up more posters out and about in the local area.

 I am very pleased to say a lady called Ruta has confirmed her booking today, she produces some wonderful ceramics from her company called 'RB Ceramics'.  I first saw her work at a craft fair in Dunmow and was really taken by her designs so I'm really pleased she's going to be at our fair.  Here are a few of Ruta's creations.

Just One Month To Go!

....not long now until the' Christmas craft & gift fair' in Queens Hall, Halstead. The fair is getting nice & full with crafters & I feel a real buzz in the air.  We are attracting a real diverse range of crafters from fantastic paintings on slate to nappy cakes and childrens authors.

We are still getting interest from last minute crafters, I had a lady book today that has a wonderful range of ladies accessories, clothes & bags...a stall I'm really looking forward to visiting!  We have 'Smallprints' at the fair which have beautifully crafted prints in silver.  I had these made of my children some years ago, they are alovely keepsake. There are lots of crafts which I will tell you about over the next few weeks.

Our next event is on 8th December 2012 in The Queens Hall, Halstead, 10am-4pm.  The craft and gift fair will be full of fantastic christmas crafts and gifts handmade and sourced by local crafters, the fair should be a great opportunity to buy a really original gifts for your friends and family.
