"I
started Vintiquity in August 2012 having fallen in love with a bone
china teacup and saucer in an antique shop. I couldn’t resist buying it
as it was so pretty and it seemed a shame that such beautiful pieces of
vintage china were being disregarded just because they were no longer
part of a set. The china that I had bought was a very pretty pale blue
and gold and looked stunning, if somewhat out of place, in my bathroom
which had the same colour scheme. I therefore decided to make a candle
in the cup and gave it pride of place on the edge of my bath. Everyone
who saw it said how pretty it was and before I knew it, I was inundated
with requests for teacup candles from friends and soon very busy and
happily sourcing more beautiful china. "
